Taryn earned her Varsity Letter in Basketball. She was able to travel with her team to Aviano, Italy and to Ramstein, Germany to compete in the European Championships which required her to miss several days of school. As soon as she returned from Germany it was time for softball try-outs. She caught a virus and had temperatures up to 103 degrees which kept her from school several more days. She managed to make the softball team and was thrilled! Unfortunatly a Monday-Friday 6:30 am -6:30 pm and Saturday scrimages did nothing to help make up her missed work and she was forced to be cut from the team. Academics come first and she had already been diagnosed with acute rotator cuff tendonitis. Perhaps it's for the best but it sure stinks right now!! Next year she plans to skip basketball and focus her heart and soul on softball!!
