Dad and I are off on a FREE military flight to Souda Bay on the Greek Isle of Crete. We'll stay at the Navy lodge and rent a car to tour the island. This will be a quick little trip but the price is right. Free airfate, $35 dollar room and 20 Euro car rental. If you can get the website to work it is http://www.souda.navy.mil/ .
March 28,30, 31 and April 1, 2, 3, 4 2009 Poznan, Poland: Dad, Taryn and I will take advantage of some very inexpensive airfares and fly to Poland to visit what we believe is the homeland of Dad's ancestors the Imbiorski's and the Dziuk's. We found what we hope is an amazing hotel. Look at the website and check out the brewery and the restaurant menu's! YUM! We are so excited! Not yet scheduled:
*A hydrofoil ride to the Island of Capri...funicular ride up to one of the higher villages and then a twelve minute chair lift with breathtaking views. Once at the top we'll have a picnic before coming back down and exploring more of the island.
*A drive to Vesuvius...possibly a wine tasting and lunch tour.
